only $100 - you lose one of the railroad's potential when you mortgaged one railroad

Answer: $200 when someone lands on one of the railroads you own that is not mortgaged. $0 if they land on the mortgaged one.
The fact that one railroad (or one property in a color group) is mortgaged does not affect the rent owed when players land on other railroads (or other properties in that same color group). |
Question: Does this still occur for a railroad owner of only 2 or 3 railroads as well (with the adjusted rent price of $50 and $100, of course)?
Thanks,

monopolizer is wrong.
The rules quoted below are found in monopoly rules. Even though any one, two, or three of the railroads are mortgaged, what matters is who owns the deeds to the property/railroad.
Example quoted below: I own all four railroads and all but Reading are mortgaged and another player lands on Reading...player owes owner $200.
For the question asked by cybercrash, if you only own 2 or 3 railroads, the same rules apply, because you own them. Example, if you own 2 railroads, one mortgaged, the other unmortgaged, and a player lands on the unmortgaged, he pays you $50. If you own 3 and two of three are mortgaged, then the player still owes you $100, but $0 if landing on a mortgaged railroad. Similar rules for all grouped properties, including color-groups and utilities.
Happy Monopolizing! |
